How it Works

Member Selection

We use a simple, 3-step process to determine if a Vistage group is right for you.

Here are the top 5 reasons why otherwise smart people might not join a Vistage group

5.  "I DON'T HAVE THE TIME."

A.  Really? We all get 168 hours each week. No more, no less. The question is: how do we choose to spend that time?

Vistage membership doesn't consume time; it nets time. Vistage members report — typically within 45 to 90 days — that they’ve stopped doing other people's work, started getting home earlier, and are devoting more time to the most important things and people in their lives.

4.  "I NEED TO WAIT UNTIL I GET OVER THIS HUMP (or project or initiative or quarter)."

A.  Anyone who thinks, "I'll have more time after I get over this hump," isn't accurately remembering the past or predicting the future. There will always be humps in business. If you doubt that, ask yourself: Were you humping 24 months ago? 12 months ago? 6 months ago? If so, more humping is not the cure for humping. Vistage helps you live without constant crisis.

Most Vistage members say they wish they had joined a group years earlier.

3.  "MY PRESENCE IS JUST TOO CRITICAL TO MY BUSINESS."

A.  Vistage members find that spending time working ON their business, rather than simply IN their business gives them the time to be more strategic and more effective leaders, empowering others to do their own jobs so they can be the leaders they should be.

Within months of joining Vistage, members are doing more in less time.

2.  "I CAN'T AFFORD TO JOIN."

A.  What's in your budget for your own professional development? Surely it's not zero. Hopefully you are ready to invest in your own growth. Most Vistage members recoup the cost of membership within the first few months by applying what they have learned to their businesses.

Vistage members don't join because they need to find ways to spend money. Just like you, they do it for the ROI.

1.  "I'M ALREADY IN A PEER GROUP."

A.  How much are you getting out of your peer group?  If it's giving you all you need, great! If not, does your current peer group have a professional, trained chairperson and fully committed, high-powered members who help you and your business grow?

Vistage Chairs receive hundreds of hours of training each year. Meetings are structured and led to be highly productive, so members leave every meeting with valuable new insights for driving performance in their businesses and lives. The unique one-to-one coaching and peer group combination of Vistage amplifies the call for leadership, maximizing the growth of each member.
